Hi! I’m Andrea - a TV set dresser, glitter devotee and Hollywood historian based in Los Angeles.

It all started when…

Growing up in LA, I’ve always been enamored with the world of Old Hollywood. My young eyes were enchanted by Technicolor: the extravagant sets, the hairstyles and costumes…. I just couldn’t get enough. Watching the films, learning about the icons and their lives, and drawing the connections between them in the elaborate web of the classical Hollywood social scene was like food for my soul. I had an intense curiosity about every facet of life in Old Hollywood: I wanted to know everything that had ever happened, in every establishment and on every street corner in LA. That same level of obsession has carried on into the present day.

For me, the fun is in the moment of discovery - those eye-popping, jaw dropping moments when a new connection is made, or a mystery clicks into place.

And I still can’t get enough!

My first book, Hollywood Horrors, was published in 2021 by Lyons Press. The collection of twelve stories is an exploration of a world marked by luxury and indulgence, scandal and publicity. It is also an examination of the systems of power and control that existed behind the scenes, that made everything happen. It’s an unfiltered look inside the real Hollywood publicity machine. But most of all it’s my love note to Old Hollywood - an ode to its glitzy, seedy, sordid, scandalous glory.

My forthcoming second book, also focusing on Hollywood’s Golden Era, will be published in 2025.
